JOHNNY AMADEUS CECOTTO

Johnny Amadeus Cecotto (Venezuelan, 09/09/1989) Son of a legendary world motorbike racing world champion has motor-racing running right through his veins and has managed to make his name in the varied classes in which he has competed. Karting, Junior Formula classes, Euroseries, Formula Renault, British F-3, F-3 Euroseries, before being given the chance to compete in GP2, and now at the age of 22, after two full seasons in the GP2 class he is approaching the moment of fulfilling his greatest ambitions. Institutional sponsors of Venezuela such as Mindeporte, Cantv, and Barwa Addax Team are giving their full backing for the 2012 season and are absolutely convinced that he has what it takes to give his fans lots to cheer about. He will be one of the favourites to take the driver’s title and will give his all to help the team to hold on to the team title which was so brilliantly won last year. In turn he will be under the spotlight, as Formula 1 teams will be scrutinizing the championship looking for young talents capable of making the step up to the highest class.
