Barwa Addax Team - Alejandro Agag

 1.- Alejandro, what does this team title mean for you?

This title means a lot. It shows how the Team has consolidated as one of the top teams in GP2. This is a very tough competition, with some of the best new driving talent in the world. To win the title a second time makes us very proud.

2.- Once again, Addax prove that it was a top team. What makes it so strong?

I think our 2 main strengths are our human capital and our sponsors. We have managed to assemple a great group of professionals, who have been with us now for several years, giving stability and experience to the Team. This would not be possible without the help of all our sponsors, who make the effort financially possible.

3.- What was the highlight of the season?

I thing the hightlight of the season was the 1 and 2 in Barcelona. To have such a great result at a home race was great!!

4.- Which was the most difficult race for you?

The most difficult race was Spa. We didint get any points that weekend, and that harmed our drivers on their own position in the championship.

5.- Charles ended  this season with the most pole positions. Would you say qualifying is Addax strongest point?

We have been very strong in qualifying this year. We have been P1 or P2 in all races but 1, I think...this for me means one thing: we need to improve the car's race pace to the same level.

6.- Charles and Giedo finished respectively fourth and fifth in the drivers standings while they were both title contenders for most part of the season. What was missing for them to finish higher in the drivers’ standings?

Our drivers were very unlucky in the last races of the season. I sincerely believe they both deserved better. But the competition is very tough, and there are great drivers out there like Filippi, Bianchi, and of course Grosjean.

7.- As team principal, what are you looking for in a driver?

I look for a driver, first and foremost, to be quick, and then, not to make unnecessary mistakes.

 8.- What are your objectives for 2012?

The objective for 2012 is to be on top again, of course...but this time also on drivers.

9.- What will it take to stay on top?

It will take to keep up the good work, and to get the best couple of drivers next year. We are working on that already...
